Baker Park is a bustling urban recreation area with a carillon, tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and plenty of playgrounds. During the summer months, families flock to its public swimming pool, and to its band shell for outdoor concerts and children's theater. The park occupies 44 acres in the downtown area, just south of Frederick Memorial Hospital.
