The Schifferstadt Architectural Museum showcases the oldest building in the town of Frederick. One of the country's finest specimens of German-colonial architecture, the Museum building was built in 1756, and retains many of the stunning design features that defined that period, such as elegant masonry; inside, exhibits display antique pottery shards and other artifacts. The Museum lies downtown, just west of Hood College.
